Update

Well, yesterday we went to a Moose Lodge event. Mom and Dale volunteered for a March of Dimes charity thing...I helped by taking my jewelry making supplies to keep the kids entertained. We had fun..there was a TON of free food and a live band.

We also joined our local recreation center here...they have an indoor pool, jaquzzi, raquet ball courts, a game room for the kids equipt with Wii's, playstations and more. This place is absolutely HUGE. They have an indoor walking track and gym, and hopefully I can get Joey to go with me and walk sometime. This rec center was one of the biggest reasons that I wanted to move here, but we didn't join it until just this weekend (we have been here a year and a half already!) Talk about procrastinating a little, lol.

We have been trying to get our yard under control....2 1/2 acres catches up to us pretty quick, and it gets away from us even faster...I really didn't want this much land, but Joey wanted to feel like he was "in the country". (sigh) Like the 120 acres he has near Boswell wasn't enough "country" for him....we have that up for sale, though.

Other than that, we are counting down the days until summertime!! I am getting ready with my sunscreen, new chairs for laying out, our water toys for Skyler and even bathing suit shopping...I need new clothes now too, since I lost so much weight....Joey threw all of my old clothes out last summer, because we thought that I would NEVER fit into them again......They are all out of style now anyhow, lol....(good excuse, right???)

Yeah, it is pretty cool! It was one of the biggest reason I chose to move here, because most small towns don't have anything like that ;-) funny, it took us soooo l ong to join...I have a feeling we will use it a lot this summer tho!

Your rec center sounds a lot like our base gym. Our gym is state of the art and everything, including all classes are free. You'd think I would use it!

I do our springtime landscaping and haul branches and clippings off by the truckloads. Its a lot of work! I always say I'm going to hire it out but then remember what great exercise it is and how much $$ I can save and always glad once its all done!
